Unveiled at the 1967 Paris Motor Show, the Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 succeeded the 330 GT 2+2 and was, at the time, the largest and most luxurious model Ferrari had produced, conceived for discerning clients who wished to travel at great speed without compromising on space, comfort or refinement. Its coachwork, designed and built by Pininfarina, stretched into a long, sleek fastback that recalled the celebrated Ferrari 500 Superfast and 365 California, yet carried an air of quiet authority entirely its own.

Beneath this elegant silhouette lay a series of innovations never seen on a Ferrari grand tourer: power steering, power brakes and electric windows as standard, together with a self-levelling independent rear suspension that kept the car poised. Up front, the 4.4-litre Colombo V12, in its final single-overhead-camshaft evolution and fed by three Weber carburettors, delivered 320 hp with the effortless, sonorous character befitting such a car.

Inside, fine leather upholstery, polished wood veneers, a wood-trimmed steering wheel and air conditioning created a luxurious cabin, perfectly suited to crossing continents in comfort. It is said that 801 examples were built between 1967 and 1971.

Such a combination of scale, grace and opulence soon earned the 365 GT 2+2 a fitting nickname. A period Road & Track writer dubbed it the "Queen Mother of Ferraris", and among enthusiasts it has since become known as the "Queen Mary", a name that reflects both its imposing presence and its distinctly aristrocratic bearing.

This Ferrari 365 GTC 2+2 is finished in Grigio Argento 2.443.009 over a Pelle Nera VM 8500 leather interior with Rosso carpets. With a known history, it is accompanied by various invoices and documents, its logbooks and the original leather document pouch. It is offered fresh from service with its Swiss veteran title and can be supplied with the Ferrari Classiche certification on request.
