Highlights
The story of the Bentley Continental T began with the Continental R, unveiled at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show as the first Bentley in decades with a body of its own rather than one shared with Rolls-Royce. In 1996, Bentley followed it with the Continental T, a more focused and driver-oriented interpretation. Its wheelbase was shortened by four inches, flared wheel arches gave it more muscular stance, and its hand-built turbocharged 6.75-litre V8 was later developed to produce 420 hp and an immense 880 Nm of torque from just 2'000 rpm, enough to propel this grand coupé from 0 to 100 km/h in under six seconds and on to a top speed of 250 km/h. Conceived in the spirit of the original "Bentley Boys", it combined formidable performance with the craftsmanship of a traditional, hand-built Bentley.
The Continental T was one of the last truly hand-built Bentleys, and only 321 examples were made between 1996 and 2003. Its production came to an end in 2003, the same year Bentley ushered in a new era with the Continental GT.
As perhaps the very last example of the Continental T, this car marks the close of a defining chapter in the marque's history.
This exceptional Bentley Continental T Mulliner "Final Series" was created by Mulliner specifically for the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. It is finished in super-elegant Black Sapphire over a tasteful Barley Hide and Nautic Blue leather interior.
A plaque on the centre console attests to its singular status reading "Number 1 of 1. This is the only Continental T Final Series ever produced."
Following a comprehensive overhaul by renowned Bentley specialists P&A Wood in the UK, at a cost of exceeding CHF 80'000, it is presenteed today in perfect condition. The car is accompanied by its original owner's pouch including its original service book, as well as numerous original invoices documenting its history. It is offered fresh from a service and Swiss MFK inspection.
