Appassionati della 296 GTS - Max Zeitz

Every passion has a story. Meet the appassionati who live with a Ferrari 296 GTB/GTS. Over the next few weeks, we will be bringing you stories from different owners, giving you an insight into how they use and experience their car.

Today we meet Max – an entrepreneur, race car driver and avid Ferrari collector from Zurich. He owns a very special Ferrari 296 GTS which is dedicated to Arturo Merzario and his legendary victory at the 1972 Targa Florio in the Ferrari 312 PB, chassis 0898, alongside Sandro Munari. After acquiring the car from us, Max had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Merzario personally and even had him sign the car inside the front bonnet for the final touch.

“The 296 GTS is in many ways absolutely fascinating to me – on one hand the perfect integration of the electric motor with the combustion engine, on the other hand the stunning design – pure inspiration from the legendary Ferrari 250 LM! After seeing this particular car in person, I was just blown away by its distinctive livery inspired by the Ferrari 312 PB – for me, this was the icing on the cake – bringing the car together perfectly. Everything about this car makes it very special every time I take it out – the sound is fantastic, the car is compact and very agile, it is unbelievably fast and simply gorgeous.I love the way the Ferrari Centro Stile has taken design inspiration directly from the Ferrari 250 LM. It’s my wife’s favorite car in the collection – and I think that says a lot!”
